The Dark Feminine in Alien
O'Bannon: The alien queen with her babies, the way that her babies manifest and become like an individual is by penetrating your chest. And then also when they lay the eggs in you, they penetrate your mouth. There's all sorts of different ways that this feminine entity will penetrate a victim in order to manifest her brood. So, in the dark feminine, she's all about penetrating and killing, which is that to me is an inversion of a feminine energy. It oddly does come together as kind of a cohesive statement in a way.
