Celiac Disease Specific Antibodies - Is That All It Takes?

Studies have shown that individuals with celiac disease specific antibody levels, more than ten times the upper limit of reference normal for that test, can accurately be diagnosed. The diagnosis of seliac disease should still be made by a gastroantologist and this is so that blood tests can be reviewed in the context of the individuals symptoms. If an individual ongoing problems that do not improve despite having a glut and free diet, they have a point of contact with ingastrintology services to refer back into.
