Howard Hughes Jr.'s Story
Howard Hughes Jr. was tutored by Caltech machinists every morning and went to the movies, often triple features, every night. He managed to convince a judge that he was capable of handling his own affairs. His mother's sister Antoinette set up a condition: Howard Hughes could take his father's money and run to Hollywood if he took a wife with him. She knew her nephew had no intention of running a tool company or even of going to university.
