Aristotle's Method of Demonstration
i'm not particularly persuaded by that argument, in part because i don't think the third premis that the treatises are meant to be examples of philosophical inquiry. But what i do think is really valuable about that argument as it points to two things that we have to keep in mind when we think about aristotelian method. It's important to accommodate what aristotle says about his method with what he actually does. Ah, and and not to keep those two things distinct as as it's sort of easy to do if one just focuses on mlis.
