Enabling Automation in DevOps
The kids in DevOps grew up with automation first, right? So they were doing massive scale out, scale downs of infrastructure daily. We didn't grow up that way in security. An auto rule and an IDS or IPS was scary for us, right? Because it was like, oh, this looks like a nimda attack. Go ahead and auto block it on the firewall rule. Now you've caused the business to go bad. They're going to fire security people, right? That is the mindset I think security has to get really comfortable with when you're working with Dev ops.
