The Importance of Winter

The Ice Age Trail is a 1,200 mile through hike that winds through the state of Wisconsin. The trail was designated as a National Scenic Trail by the US Congress in 1980. In 2017, Emily Ford connected the Superior Hiking Trail and the Border Route Trail for a total of about 300 miles. She set her goal to start on the east side of the state and work her way back west toward home.
