Sos la mark was a french biologist who preceded darwin. He came up with his own theory of evolution, which depended on what's known as the inheritance of acquired traits. The claim is that mice are adapting to their environment by learning about risks and inheriting that knowledge. But scientists don't know how this mechanism would actually work.
