It was appropriate for him to know nothing. He should stay out of this. And that's such an important principle, that d o j is not a political arm of the white house. But it's one of these areas where if we're going to have a functioning rule of law democracy, we have to be willing to work with that little bit of discomfit about a independent attorney general who does his based on the recommendations of professional prosecutors and professional agents.
