CHAPTER

Is There a Link Between Oral Health and Cardiovascular Health?

The teeth health is very intimately related to cardiovascular health and that's something I really explored with a previous fellow that I had on the show about a holistic dentistry. And so we've definitely gone into it a bit more and rechecked what we thought, but still we actually feel that activated charcoal is still safe for oral care. Activated charcoal is a one to two on the Mo scale. For comparison, baking soda is about a 2.5 on the same scale. It shouldn't scratch the teeth during brushing because it's significantly less hard than an amyl and dentin.
