Why Are Beliefs So Dangerous?

beliefs are dangerous because once you hold e belief, you tend to filter out contrary data. Once you've held onto belief, you want to defend that belief at any cost. This means you're willing to disregard direct experience which ends up being disastrous in one way or another. I se very ironic, very counter intuitive and twisted.
