The story of cleo silvers is offered as another example of one of those undersung women a their roles in political action, especially in the story of the black panthers. So who is cleo Silvers? How does she come to be a member of the black Panther party? Yes, cleo grew up in philadelphia. She was the first black woman em of the vista volunteers. And so when she first got there, she and another woman, a white woman, they were paired together,. They were sent to some of em, you know, these most disadvantaged schools to help create after school programmes  and just helped the community.
