Russia and China - Is Russia a Rival?
I don't think that Russia has ever been driven by and maybe in Europe by the way I think in Europe there's a lot of money in the Russia relationship. But for Putin it was more like a geopolitical transactionalism than a monetary transactionalism of the Chinese When you say he didn't pay a price, I'm not sure that's how I'd frame it at all actually because to Putin He doesn't like a lot of things that we were doing You know He didn't like anything we were doing in the missile defense space and so on.
