The Benefits of Unilateral Exercises in Strength Training

Researchers at shanghai university of sport performed a medaanalysis on 14 studies. Found bilateral exercises improved by lateral strength more than unilateral exercises. Also found that unilateral exercises tended to be better than bilateral exercises for improving unilateral and bilateral jumping, agility and speed. Although those findings were not statistically significant, they might still be valid. It would just require more research to determine that.
