There were 15 depictions of Arrocks marked with the Y symbol and the vast majority of the time. That Y was in a position that would denote the second month of the year in this lunar calendar, which is roughly when Arrocks would be expected to give birth. The paper also noted that while these marks wouldn't really fit the definition of a written language, they could be classified as a sort of proto writing. There's earlier published work that came to similar conclusions and was not cited in this paper.
