How to Trade Chart Patterns Systematically

I see a lot of people who want to trade chart patterns, but they have a tough time making it like very systematic. So how can you make some thinking based on chart pattern that's kind of at the basis fairly is questioning how can we make it more systematic or more kind of like process driven? Let's just say that you trade off of structure, which is a very popular approach. You're trading off of major highs, and you're shorting the big highs when they're retested. And then if you're a little bit more conservative, you could say, well, I'm going to wait for a retest."
