Rootedness
When we first came here to Bethnal Green, when we first started work on the London Wood Centre, that burned out wrecked fire station became this wonderful place. And he was very reluctant to move it. That's what it means to be rooted. You feel that a stone is not that big a stone, belongs where it is, as he feels he belongs, where he is. It's not just a matter of country living. It's a question of place, of feeling this place is my place. This is where I belong.
