How to Communicate With Students in a Statistics Course

I think that i, personally, and maybe a lot of other people there as well, really do a disservice to our students in how we communicate with them. What i find myself doing later on is using a language, using a communication system, using sort of scientific framework that we should have been using all along. And so it happens is people come to their modelling course and they have to real themselves and think differently. But they have to shake off all the damage that i and others maybe have done to them before they get there.
