The Decision Making Process for Independent Artists
I feel like it's yesterday. I've had the experience of like being the artist, courted by the major labels meeting all the top people at the time. And so when you know that you're going to be giving up a lot of your rights, signing to label and yet you know the other path as a DIY artist. So it wasn't actually a hard decision. It was really, it was a super exciting time, obviously. But then I'd look at, I talked to my friends, musicians who were signed and they just seemed really unhappy. Nothing worse than getting what you want sometimes.
