The Australian Mercantilism Narrative

Keating was capable of taking really maximizing, maybe not maximizing. Exploiting as much as anyone could possibly imagine exploiting the opportunity presented by the times as they were. But then he was also capable of shifting the narrative, changing the narrative from debt and deficits to mercantilism. Had he not done that, at some stage we would have found this Australia in a crisis anyway.
