The Challenges of Doing the Discovery of Ocean Life
The most important thing that we're doing now is to build the network of partners who are coming together particularly and starting from the scientific side. So we're calling out to all taxonomists involved in the discovery of ocean life to be a part of this. We obviously want to do things as fast as we possibly can but we've got to get these steps right. The approach is to cyber taxonomy have been published by Chief Scientist, Science Director Alex Rogers with consultation with dozens of scientists around the world. It's how we use different technologies of imaging, of sequencing and machine learning to support the discovery of Ocean life at speed and scale.
