The Evolution of Artificial Intelligence
In the original incarnation of the phrase artificial intelligence, that was a pretty lofty goal. Every aspect of human intelligence can be so precisely described that you can program it. Those are all things that worked, but they are not general artificial intelligence. So people started using the words strong and weak AI to refer to the ideas that some of the AI we're doing is like hot dog versus not hot dog.
