Why Is the European Central Bank Still Holding Interest Rates at Zero?
Before the formation of the european union, germany enjoyed one of the lowest inflation rates in the world since the end of the second warld war. The idea was to create a single currency that would be the heir to the douch mark. Instead, they've created a that's the heirs to the italian lyra or the greek drachma. It's not like all the countries are now as fiscally responsible as germany. It's just that they're now as profligate as italy.
