How to Be a Successful Lawyer
Do your homework before you meet with a client. Read their business plan, read their deck, dig it on what they're doing and really study it. Look for opportunities to engage with these companies even when they haven't called you. When we as lawyers show that level of interest in their company, in their product, in their people, it's like complimenting their children. And so my example of, Hey, can I swing by to see the product demo is extremely meaningful to them because most people don't take the time to do that.
