The Importance of Historical Context in World War II
When we originally did it you know that's what we both felt was missing that sort of you know as Leslie said earlier on it really is more like a journal. Yeah I mean historically they thought that they were doing such harsh rules against Germany to end all wars but in effect they went way too far and within a generation the Germans rose back up against it. And so when it comes to an adaptation an adaptation exists through the lens of which you've lived, right? You can definitely see that this was one case where it really was told by the victors.
