The Bagmen of the Revolution of 1917
In the winter of 19 17 19 18, a spontaneously self organized phenomenon appeared. The bagmen were individuals who filled bags with small, tradable goods and hopped on trains to rural areas,. They then bartered and exchanged those goods for food. Coops sprouted up in both town and country to reliably facilitate exchange and delivery. But there was one small hiccup. This is not exactly the bolshevik vision for what post revolutionary socialism is meant to look like.
