What's the Limitation of a Story?
Just because scale isn't necessary doesn't mean that it's not possible. My favorite living writer is Alice Monroe who basically writes about one little district in canada and yet her story starts all over the world. If your idea of a story is limited by the definition in your mind of a story then you can't break through. Marathi writers are writing within the so-called conventional short story form which makes their stories insular.
