The Negative Effects of Automation on the Labor Market

CNN's John Sutter spoke with the lead author of a new paper on automation and occupational mobility. The study looked at how high wage jobs tend to be more pollution-intensive, while low wage occupations are less likely to be automated. He says this suggests that if climate change is going to make it harder for people to work in certain professions, then these "red alerts" should be seen as a warning sign.
