We're in a Terrible Predicament
Xenophon, the Persians attacks and if on chases and it doesn't go well. Xenophon: We have a number of Rhodian troops in our army. They've got some bowmen, but the bows that these Creighton archers that they have, they're not really as far ranging as the Persians bows. And sure enough, the next day this guy, Mithridates shows up again with a lot more horses and a lot more slingers - yet the Greeks are able to repel him. Sometimes all it takes is just sitting down and thinking maybe with a pen and paper.
