What Are the Stakes of Nicaea?

The 7th Ecumenical Council is considered infallible by the Roman Catholic Church and the Eastern Orthodox Church. At the end of the council, the bishops present a series of anathemas against those who opposed their verdict. There's a lot of confusion about this because some try to downplay that and they act like it's not as serious.
