The First Generation Executives at Harvard
The motivation came from both the head and the heart. I saw this disparity between folks like me and folks whose parents were vice presidents, board members who had been there and done that. And so when it comes to the heart motivation, what i wanted to do was to pay it forward. Now that i've had a chance to to be at least a few steps further along than students who are currently in school, i wanted to pass down some of that knowledge, knowledge that i wish someone could have handed to me.
