The Magic of the Clean Up Song
Researchers wanted to closely examine the effect of music on babies and their caregivers. They asked parents to volunteer to come into the lab with their babies. The mothers then sang two versions of twinkle twinkle, little star. When mam sang in a playful way, both mam and baby's arousal level stayed stable. But ah, when mam singing in a soothing way, twinkle twinkles, both m am and baby’s arousal levels decreased as the song progressed.
