Mallory: Saw never tires of fighting with his ostensible allies, even if he's related to them because he wants to be in charge. He doesn't recognize that they're scared of him to some extent. I think what's also interesting is that saw is feuding right from the get go with his fellow rebels, including his sister. And there's a scene in a Claudia Gray book called Bloodline where a new republic senator is talking to Leia and questioning the alliance's quote unquote terrorist tactics.
