Why Sloths Are Built for Slowness
Sloths are built for slowness. They digest everything really, really slowly and they don't get very much energy from that. It takes them a full month to digest one leaf. So Elena was on to something thinking it's about what sloths eat. Leaves might not make them slow, but they are part of the story of their super slow powers. The tummies are always full. So they only eat a little bit. And so they can actually stay quite still and quite quiet. How big slow is actually a genius move? I'll think about that next time.I don't want to get off the couch to get more than we do.
