Chromaticism is super important to slide in and out of chord tones because it gives you that bebop sound. When you don't have that you're essentially your improv just sounds like this right or it just sounds essentially all diatonic there's no chromaticism for improvisers. The last one is going to include some extensions some colors that are going to bring you outside the key and then bring you back in to give you some tension and give you that jazz sound.
