There was this interesting paper in the New England called Brupernorphin versus Methadone for opioid use disorder in pregnancy. Parents of older children were less likely to report guilt about their preterm birth compared with parents of younger children. There is no difference in the proportion reporting regret when comparing parents of children born before or after 25 weeks and those who lived with a child with neurodevelopmental impairment. We should just go out there and say whether they say it or not that it wasn't their fault, there isn't anything they could have done differently.
