The Relationship Between Music and Language
I'm a good musician and I've always been very much involved in the arts altogether. In 1967, so 55 years ago, I was a founding member of a group called Proctics Zero. One day we invited a famous neurologist named Norman Deschlin to come speak to us at ProcticsZero. He spoke to us for eight hours, he didn't say the whole time, but I state a lot of it. By studying brain damage, I could understand the relationship between various kinds of capacities which I could never understand if I simply studied normal people.
