Capitalism has alienated us from a human essence that is transcendent of history and put in place by god or something or another. While marx doesn't make that theistic move he does kind of have this transhistorical conception of a human essence which were alienated from. i think that this discussion of alienation gets taken up by fascists as well fascists in many ways were revolutionaries. It's important to remember that the scientific approach can get too detached we can lose sight of the workers as people, says Richard Spencer.
