David Olderman, who listens on the podcast from his home in New Zealand. When it's cold, he sees fewer clouds; when it's warm, he sees more cloud cover. Is that actually correct? It's accurate as far as night time's concerned, because we look at cloud as a blanket. If the clouds disappear, night times are much colder. The reason is the short wave radiation from the sun's rays come in through the day, and then reflect off the surface's long wave radiation.
