Brain Damage From Woodpeckers
Scientists have hypothasized at e woodpeckers have a buildin shock absorber in their hat to prevent themselves from getting headaches or injuries in their brain. But this hypothesis wal never been tested so far. Sam van wossenberg and Catherine lee used high speed cameras to test the theory. They found no evidence that there's any shock absorption going on between the beak and the brain case, so it's clear that Woodpeckers are not going to absorb the shock.
