The Importance of Post-Colonial Studies

There definitely is some in many ways, I think post-colonial readings take their impetus from liberation studies. In the 1960s was one of the first places we started to see people thinking about imperialism and imperialism as a reality within ancient Christianity. So, and liberation theology with its links with, say, Marxism was able to unearth some of those connections and similarities. And that's just simply empire as this sense of imposition. The people who are imposed upon pushed back against that kind of imposition. That's anti-imperialism in many ways.
