The Upside Move in Copper Futures for the Week Ends
The natural direction for markets left unattended is downward as we close out yet another week of this sort of price action. China's state banks often trade on behalf of or via the direction of the PBOC directly in spot FX markets. This measure would be kind of in line with that public statement that was previously made. It almost doesn't even matter as long as that perception is there and therefore becomes a self-fulfilling market reality.
