But there are many other parts of our brains where work is happening quite outside of conscious awareness,. And that's a very smart way for a system to be - it doesn't need to start everything up every single time. So i always argue that if we just go back to something that's attributed to darwin, that it is not the strongest who will survive, nor the most intelligent, but the ones who are most adaptive to change.
