The leader of thedonesk says his city plans to ask moscow to annex it. This would obviously be really significant, if it's formally annexed in the same way that crimea was am. If they are abletoo keep a toe hold there, hang on to carkyevent and the surrounding area then that could act as as a sort of board to really threaten the supply lines down to to russia in the dombas.
