The Roots of African American Genealogy
This show was conceived as a scientific version of Alex Haley's roots. The conceit was that I would do African American genealogy back to the abyss of slavery. And then when the paper trail disappeared, I would then analyze their DNA to see what Anthony grew on their mother's mother's line. They were from in Africa. So it's pretty simple. It was trying to just fill in some of the missing blanks to get back to Africa.
