The Political Economy of Health Under Capitalism

We're going to talk about the political economy of health under both capitalism and what health should be under communism. But before we do that, I want to take a host prerogative here and actually just read a paragraph from like the last chat or the last page of the book. It is not necessarily the case that we are all sick, but none of us as well. The truth of the distinction that capitalist states draw on their deeper occasions of workers slash surplus is that in the eyes of capital, we are all surplus. We are each of us ripped and maimed, strangled and buried by capital in one way or another.
