Califacene is a staff writer at the new yorker and former pop music critic. She says she was sceptical of success of bands that recorded for big record corporations, which we referred to as major labels. But hippop had a different mind set, right? And so when i'm obsessed with the wootang clan, as many people were in the nineties, it was exciting to watch them try to conquer the main stream. In other words, all these ways are exclusive in their own way - but they can be inclusive too.
