The Future of Local Languages
SIL has access to the most massively multilingual corpus that there is. We've done work in over 2,000 languages. And depending what partners we gather together, maybe like 1,200 languages. There's a lot of data there. How do we push those into the longer tail of languages? What really excites us is, how could we not just do that language by language? Like, oh, we add the next language, and thenWe add the nextlanguage, and then we added the next language. So, these sorts of building block AI technologies are what we're thinking about a lot right now. They want to see local languages being part of a global conversation.
