Aerial Win Percentage
I'd like to see aerial win percentage broken down into areas of the pitch. It seems you could easily have a team whose aerial win percentage could be completely massaged by their centre backs being incredible in the air and their strikers being terrible in the air. There are different types of aerial duel, right? Complete the area of the pitch is one, but also the strength of the opponent that you're facing as well. This is something that we use in the dual ratings within the smarter scale of data that we use. Part of the reason why Manchester City are very high in aerial success percentage is because they don’t play long balls. I think aerial duels favour the defensive side.
