The ego death experience is not a permanent thing. It's relieving yourself of the perspective that you typically have for a period of time and then afterwards, you re-inhabit that perspective. You might call it pure awareness, loving awareness, pure energy, pure consciousness, union with the consciousness of the universe,. Who knows? But I think what you want to do and what that space allows for is for you to determine the most optimal aspect of yourself to be in each one of those situations.
