The Tension Between Exploration and Exploration
There's this basic tension between what people call exploration and exploitation. We would not want to have a world where everyone was like a quiero, because a bunch of other people would have to be taken care of that four-year-old. If you sit down next to a preschooler and just watch them for a while, one of the great pleasures of developmental psychology is you can actually see it unfold before you're on. It doesn't close doors every time I get on this show.
